14th July 2014 – 17th July 2014 -- Clergy Annual outing
Dearest parishioners of St Henry,
As I take up, in Christ’s name, his sweet and light yoke as your new parish priest,
I ask you to pray for me, that I may bring you closer to the Lord. What’s obvious
to me and it seems to everyone else is that this parish is not a yoke I will be able
to bear alone. But I know Christ will help me — as he has every day of my priesthood
— and I’m counting on you to help me as well. Working hard and humbly together,
you, the Lord, and I, we can ensure that this parish will be the Salt and Light of the world ,
a community deeply rooted in Jesus . My dear parishioners of St Henry, The Lord has given
us to each other, so that we might carry each other on each other’s shoulders all the way
to Him. This Sunday we are reminded of God as the Sower who scatters His love and mercy
on all , saints and sinners. His love is unconditional and is given freely. Let us response in
love to God our loving Eternal Father and allow His Words ( Holy Scripture), to penetrate
deep into our hearts and minds , bringing forth a lively and active faith and thus inviting
us to have a new mind and a new heart.
