The Nativity of The Lord

-What does it mean that " God is with us?"

At Christmas we should not ask, "

What does Christmas mean?" We should ask instead, " What does Christmas do?"

Our God has entered this world to whisper to us that He loves us.

Each Christmas reminds us that the gift of God's love is here if we wish to unwrap it and use it by sharing it with one another. A meaningful way to celebrate The Birth of Mercy is for us to show mercy. And these words of our Lord should ring in our hearts ; "Blessed are the merciful , for they shall obtain mercy." This is the beatitude to which we should aspire to put into practice during the Holy Year of Mercy.

With my blessings and the assurance of my prayers for you and your families as you celebrate the goodness and loving kindness of God our Saviour this Christmas .
