Reflection
ADVENT
– A
New Liturgical Year
The
church is concerned with our growth in Christian Life. We do not grow just by
remembering the various seasons and feasts. The way to grow spiritually is by re-living
them within us every year:
-
by getting ready for the coming of Christ at Advent.
-
by really having Christ born in our soul and family at Christmas.
-
by really suffering and dying to sin with Christ during Lent.
-
by really rising to new life at Easter.
-
by really receiving the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.
-
by actively & joyfully living and awaiting the final coming of Christ at Ordinary time.
