Chinese New Year Parish Gathering

The parish of St Henry will be holding a Chinese New Year gathering on the 28^th Feb 2015 at the Ocean Restaurant at 7:30p.m(buffet dinner). The tickets are at RM20.00 each. There will be a competition for the best dressed traditional Chinese attire for both male and female category. You may purchase tickets from Anna Moori, Florence or Joseph Ng. We look forward to your attendance. Thank you.

 Every person who sees us and our behavior is our student . Many

 would say  that God has ultimate authority over our lives. But let

 us be honest, does the shaping of our behavior truly reveal that

 we have given God authority over us?

 We often completely ignore the Church on matters of Faith and

 Morals. Friends, we must learn to listen to Christ with a humble

 heart and form our lives around Him so that our actions would

 reveal a life rooted in Jesus Christ. Amen

1. On the 25th January, Father Lionel will be conducting a

workshop for the deaf ministry members at the conference

room.

2. There will be a marriage preparation course in Tamil for

couples planning to get married this year. Date 6-8th February

at the Good Shepherd Seminary, Malacca. Contact Fr lionel

for more information.

3. Project David Leadership Program in English for those in

Secondary School( FORM 3 AND ABOVE).

Date: 15th -18th March. The cost is RM 100 .00.

Kindly take note the parish will be happy to subsidize the

cost for those interested. Please contact the parish office.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Third Sunday of the Ordinary Time, we are asked to look into our own calling to be Disciples of Our Lord.

We need to come closer to the Master and STAY with HIM. To imitate Him, to reflect Him and to follow Him despite the obstacles in our lives.

Jesus came to call us to reform our lives and to have a clearer understanding of God. We need an experience of the Risen Lord like St Paul, an experience that will completely transform us in being a faithful disciple of The Lord .

Jesus is calling us to a Discipleship that requires us to model our lives on Jesus and not the culture of the world. Are you willing?
