Closing of the Extraordinary Year of Mission 2019

The above event will be held on Saturday, 12^th October at Church of St Philip, Segamat.

Time: 2.00 pm to 4:00 pm – activities; 4:00 pm (Mission Rosary); 5.00 pm – Mass.

Those who would like to attend,  do register at the parish office.

Closing date: Tue, 1^st October 2019. Bus fare: RM 10.00. (40 seater).

Malacca Johore Diocese Census

Beginning end September and throughout the month of October 2019, the diocese will be carrying out a census at all Masses in all the Churches and Chapels of our diocese. 

The purpose is to update the diocese and parish information for pastoral care, outreach and planning at all levels. This is especially important as we prepare for our diocese Jubilee in 2022. 

Details will be in the next bulletin.

Theme and Logo Competition (in conjunction with MJD 50^th anniversary)

Dateline: 1^st September to 19^th November 2019.

Prizes: - 1^st prize: RM 3,000.00 (cash) & 3 congratulatory prizes.

Eligibility: all baptised parishioners within Malacca Johore Diocese. No age limit.

The logo must include the below elements:

a. The Diocesan pastoral thrust:

    - Church as Communion of families for the year 2016 – 2020.

    - Seeks to be creative, inclusive, bridge building, visionary & missionary.

    - To go forth as “disciples of hope”.

b. The 4 E’s: Encounter, Enlightenment, Empowerment and Evangelisation.
